LOVE for ALL

When ever I'm sitting at home watching t.v there's always a bunch of different commercials that either leave me with questions or just make me want to change the channel. One ad that always gets to me is the one for ASPCA, which is The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Besides loving children and just hanging out one thing that I love is animals. When the commercial comes on and they start to show all the cute little animals it just makes me want to call and empty out my bank. I can't help but want to help these amazing little creatures that are defense less. The fact that the commercial uses this extra depressing song has a lot to do with it too, as well as the pictures which make me want to cry. At first they were not as sad but they did some changes and it was well worth it. I actually called the other day when I saw the commercial and looked up information on it. This ad is made to get the attention of people who love animals such as myself. They do a very good job at projecting the feelings of the animals. Most commercials seem pointless and don't really have anything to do with the product trying to be sold. Those types of commercials make me grateful for having the ability to fast forward through them. But because of this one commercial in specific it makes me want to make a difference; as little as it may seem, helping an innocent creature means a lot in my book.

crazy footprint!

An ecological footprint is basically a measure of what your impact is on the environment and what is needed to support the way you live. It was no surprise to me that it would take 5.2 earths to support everyone if they lived like me. I’ve actually taken a test like this before and got five earths. It would also take 23.1 global acres to support my lifestyle. The thought of this is really crazy and just makes me feel like I am doing something wrong. I turn the water on before I even actually shower, I also don’t recycle a whole lot. These are two simple things I can do to reduce my footprint. I also never knew leaving appliances plugged in still pulls electricity and that is something I will work on. As well as always meeting up with friends at places, if possible instead we can carpool. There are just so many little things that can ultimately lead to a huge change. Not only a change for the moment but also a change for the generations to come to live a “greener” lifestyle.
